Bangladesh Hotels Limited is the leading Hotel & Hospitality Services Company which is the owner of Hotel Purbani the pioneer of establishing first three Star hotels in private sector in Dhaka. Incorporated Reg. No. C-1598 dated: 4th October, 1961 the East Pakistan Hotels Limited got the Certificate of Commencement of Business in the Brand name “Hotel Purbani”. Since then it has been maintaining consistent growth with innovation & valued services.
The six-point movement program announced by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the arrest of Bangabandhu, the burning of the Pakistani flag and the contribution of Hotel Purbani to the freedom of the Bengali nation remain unforgettable.
After the independence in 1971, its name changed to Bangladesh Hotels Limited by order of Bangladesh Government by their memo no. Sec-V/IM-951721345, Ministry of Trade and Commerce dated the 12th April 1972 as forwarded under NO. C/158/SL No.-13 dated the 22nd April 1972 by the Register of Joint stock Companies Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Hotels Limited is a Public Limited Company listed with Dhaka Stock Exchange on 1978. The address of the registered office of the company is 1, Dilkusha Commercial Area, Dhaka-1000.
In present the main source of income of the company is rental income from its commercial blocks which is situated in Dilkusha commercial area, Segunbagicha etc. the company is the land owner of valuable areas. In addition to the above, the company also earned revenue by providing miscellaneous commercial services.
